Immigration Matters: A student visa will be required for international students seeking to enroll in school in Barbados for more than three months

Travel to Barbados Direct flights to Grantley Adams International (BGI) are available from most international airports; however, connecting flights may be required in some instances.

Higher Education Overview 
  • Bachelor’s degree programmes can be 3yrs in length. If a preliminary or foundation is requiredprogrammes may be 4 yrs in length.  
  • Master’s degree programmes can be 1 - 2 yrs in length 
  • Doctoral programmes can be 3 - 4 yrs in length

Yes. Medicine is an undergraduate graduate programme in Barbados.

The application will be done via the school.

Yes – with limitations.

Are there post-graduation work permit opportunities?
Very limited for Non-Caricom Nationals.
