Five College Majors that Make Parents Worry
There are subject majors, when mentioned by a student often raises the eyebrows or concerns of parents. Their faces become etched with panic as if they are trying to send subliminal messages for me to convince them differently. It is the hope of every parent about to invest financially in their son's or daughter's education that they can become gainfully employed. "What type of job will you get with that degree?" is the one question often asked by parents after hearing any of the five majors listed below:

The truth is, parents' worry can be linked to the lack of industry knowledge, coupled with the lack of visible job opportunities within their local space. Therefore, it is critical that persons become educated about the industry within their country but also globally to see the various careers available. Career planning must therefore coincide with college preparation, as it is critical to make CAREER Sense of Higher Education. It is not to change a student's mind, but it is beneficial that they are better informed to create a study and career plan to increase their knowledge as well as success.
