Immigration Matters: A student visa will be required for international students seeking to enroll in school in Trinidad and Tobago for more than three months. 

Travel to Trinidad and Tobago:  At least one flight may be required when travelling to Trinidad and Tobago.  Depending on country of origin, more than one flight may be required.

Higher Education Overview

• Bachelor’s degree programmes can be 3 yrs in length. If a preliminary or foundation is required, programmes may be 4 yrs in length.
• Master’s degree programmes can be 1 - 2 yrs in length
• Doctoral programmes can be 3yrs - 4 yrs in length

Yes. Medicine is offered as an undergraduate programme in Trinidad and Tobago.

Do I have to travel to an embassy in another country to apply for my visa?
The application will be done via the school.

Can international students work while studying? 
Yes – with limitations.

Are there post-graduation work permit opportunities?
Very limited for Non-Caricom Nationals.
