CUP Fest returns to Saint Lucia – Face to face CUP Fest Fairs will be held in both Barbados and Saint Lucia this October. This is the first in-person CUP Fest Fair in Saint Lucia since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students, parents and educators in Saint Lucia will have an opportunity to meet with schools from major study destinations. More details available on www.cupfestinternational.com
The Student Centre team tours Florida Schools – Caribbean College Planners from The Student Centre visited schools Florida, one of the popular states of choice among Caribbean students. Visits were conducted at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale.
Changes to SAT exam – Students in 2023 will take the new digital SAT examination which will feature a shorter examination, the use of calculators for the Math section as well as the ability to use their own laptop or tablet the test centre. The application of a digital exam is expected to result in a reduced wait time on scores which would usually take weeks but will not take days. It is believed that such changes are coming about due to the closure of test centres, many colleges becoming test optional as well as the rising popularity of ACT.
